New Director For Hadassah Neurim: Nachum Katz

Nachum Katz Nahum Katz, 46, has been appointed Director of Hadassah Neurim following the sudden death of Arie Pinchuk. Katz previously headed the High School for Sciences and Arts in Hadera after serving for 22 years in the IDF, mainly in the artillery corps. He is a Colonel in the reserves and also spent two years in Cherry Hill, New Jersey as a Jewish Agency/Maccabi emissary bringing young people to Israel on summer programs.

"I see my task as continuing the good work done by Arie," said Katz. “The school has enormous potential and the wonderful work that Arie did in economically restructuring Hadassah Neurim provides a platform for developing an even higher quality school."

"We have a dedicated staff here," he added. "And we enjoy marvelous cooperation with Youth Aliyah and Hadassah. Among my immediate plans are broader development of the sports program, the sculpture school and the horseback riding therapy as well as ecological and environmental studies. We must carry on improving the look of the village and renovating buildings. Most importantly we want to upgrade scholastic results. The Branco-Weiss program is already doing that and next year in cooperation with the Netanya Academic College we will open up pre-academic matriculation streams in communications, computers and banking.
