Two ninth grade students from Kiryat Yearim and senior staff from the residential village were guests of President Moshe Katzav in Jerusalem earlier this year. Also present at the special reception for a nationwide Prevention of Crime program in youth was Education Minister Limor Livnat. The visit to the President’s Residence was the culmination of a program for 20 Kiryat Yearim students who were considered vulnerable to criminal tendencies. Working with the police and other authorities a special course stressed the anti-social nature of crime and the importance of civic responsibilities.
