Swiss Committee President, Carmen Meyer, led a delegation to Kiryat Yearim in October to discuss new developments at the village. The visitors learned that planning permission had been received to construct new dormitories modeled on the highly successful buildings, which were completed last year and house 48 children. “We told the visitors about the improved atmosphere in the village,” explained Director Hezi Panet. “ We have less violence here and better scholastic results.”

In addition to construction of the new dormitories, over the next year the Swiss Committee will fund the renovation of existing buildings, and enrichment programs for the therapy center. "The Swiss Committee continues to prove it is a valuable friend of Kiryat Yearim through its ongoing commitment and involvement" said Meir Beck, Director of Youth Aliyah Institutions.
