Bergen/North Hudson: Rising To The Challenge

Thanks to a contribution from the Jewish Federation of Bergen County and North Hudson, New Jersey, students at Ben Yakir are participating in the Challenges outdoor therapeutic program. The aim of the program is to improve self-esteem and team work while enabling students to overcome their fears and difficulties. Similar programs are taking place at Kiryat Yearim, thanks to donations by the Jewish Federation of Greater Detroit and Check Point hi-tech company through the Spirit of Israel. At Ramat Hadassah Szold the program has been successfully operating for five years, funded by Hadassah and the Oran Foundation through the Spirit through the Spirit F of Israel.
