Two new computers for each of the five dormitory buildings were installed at the Ben Yakir village in December. The computers were donated by ECI Telecom through the Spirit of Israel. The generous contribution open the world of the Internet and interactive games to the children of Ben Yakir, few of whom come from homes where their parents cannot afford computers.

In addition children from Ben Yakir are participating in a computer technicians course at Hadassah Neurim, given by Cisco Systems, through the Spirit of Israel. This is part of the growing emphasis that Youth Aliyah is placing on IT studies which will equip the students for a career in high-tech.
