Iyad and Mohammed are two Arab boys from Akko. Iyad is spending his fifth year at Hadassah Neurim after having completed high school and college here. Being an outstanding athlete, Iyad has been several times the Israeli champion of the 400 meters hurdles and 200 meters run, including at the last Maccabia. He is a very warm, friendly and gentle young man and continues to live and train at Hadassah Neurim with seven other graduate athletes. They contribute a lot to the village and bring fame and pride with their achievements.
After his father died two years ago, Iyad brought his brother Mohammed to study in the village. His young brother also joined the athletic program and is becoming a promising shotput thrower. Just like his brother, Mohammed is a very beloved, sweet boy. He lives in the Zion and Revital family unit (Mishpachton) together with thirteen boys and girls. We love them very much and are so proud of them!
