Nitzana has dedicated a 15-meter solar tower containing a desert cooler that was funded by Keren Hayesod Austria. Up to 40 children at any one time can enter the tower and learn how solar energy can be used for cooling buildings. The tower is an integral part of Nitzana’s Solar Park which will begin operations in July.

The first phase of the project also includes a water desalination installation powered by the sun. When fully completed the solar park will contain seven exhibits. The Solar Park has attracted donors from around the world including Mark Levy, Baran Project, Studio de Lange and the SACTA-RASHI Foundation as well as Keren Hayesod Austria.
