Nitzana will be doubling the scope of its Bedouin project over the coming year thanks to the increased support of UJA Federation of New York. “During the 2005/06 school year we brought 1,000 Bedouin here from surrounding villages,” explained Nitzana Director David Palmach, “over the course of the year and taught them about desert ecology and solar energy. This year we will be able to double the number of Bedouin children and youth. This program is vital for coexistence in the Negev.”
