More than 70 residents of Sderot, the Negev development town being bombarded by missiles from Gaza, were given refuge at Nitzana during May and given a chance to recuperate from daily rocket fire.

The Sderot residents were given food and board and a chance to use the village’s swimming pool and other facilities.

Nitzana will host dozens more residents from Sderot during the summer if the situation in the Northwestern Negev persists.
