This year the Jewish Agency hadto cut Nitzana's immigrant budget by $300,000. This is a part of the overall budget cuts throughout the whole Jewish Agency. In the past few months Youth Aliyah has sought ways of making up the shortfall but to no avail. Consequently, there is danger that the new immigrants at Nitzana will not enjoy the level of activities and assistance that previous groups of newcomers have benefited from in recent years.
