Nitzana News Bulletin: April 2004

A 21st Century Exodus

Dear Friends,

Each Pesach Seder night we are urged to feel as if we too were the generation that was released from slavery in Egypt and departed for freedom and eventually Israel. For the new immigrant students at Nitzana it is easy to identify with this essential Jewish story. Both the KEDMA students from Ethiopia and the SELAH Science teenagers from the Former Soviet Union, whose programs are supported by the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado, will be marking their first-ever Pesach in the Jewish State. Most of the SELAH Science students, whose parents are back in the FSU, will be celebrating the Pesach Seder at Nitzana itself.

Nitzana, Youth Aliyah and the Jewish Agency wish a Happy Pesach to all their friends in Colorado.
