Zion Mukara, 7th grade student at Ben Yakir won the 'idol' contest the second year in a row. Zion performed in dance and mime of his own creation. These talents are not yet known to the staff of the famous TV show…

Last Monday, February 15th 2010, Ben Yakir held a special evening of stars – Ben Yakir Idol! The evening was preceded by many preparations of the students. The first stage included auditions held by a panel of judges from the village staff.

The evening itself was a celebration of stars. The students sang, danced, wrote and composed music.

The performances included different music styles – prayer, rap, oriental and more, keyboard playing, dancing and mime.

Rachel, one of the organizers of the evening: "it was exciting to see the students so excited and devoted to the success of the evening. The students at the audience gave them the opportunity to perform, encouraged them to express themselves. The evening was wonderful and unforgettable, all thanks to the students and their attitude".

The evening included a performance of the staff with drums, guitar and song. At the end of the event, after a performance by 2 Ben Yakir alumni, Yossi Krothammer – village director – declared the winners.

All the winners received a computer donated by Nesher Company, to take back to their families.
