Kinneret

The Rural Settlement Department founded the Kinneret agricultural farm - its first such endeavor, in 1908. The farm, situated 8 kilometers south of Tiberias, helped many of the kibbutzim in the region develop. Moshava Kinneret was founded the following year, with Kibbutz Kinneret founded in 1913.

Moshava Kinneret presently numbers 376 residents, with Kibbutz Kinneret, a settlement in the Jordan Valley Regional Council, numbering 664 residents.
