Special Students-On-Campus Videoconference & Webcast.

Live from Jerusalem, with Karnit Goldwasser

On October 30th, 2007, as part of the World Solidarity Day www.bringthemback.net for the release of the kidnapped soldiers, the Jewish Agency's and WZO's Student Forum held a videoconference event with special guest Karnit Goldwasser, wife of abducted Israeli soldier Ehud (Udi) Goldwasser.  Watch video here or at www.bringthemback.tv

 

 Students at Hillel Centers in Stanford, Irvine, Philadelphia, Santa Cruz, Brown, Austin TX ,San Francisco, Washington and other universities met with Karnit, in a question and answer session, live from Kiryat Moriah in Jerusalem.

The event was also streamed live on the internet  for dozens of other campuses, schools, and JCCs worldwide... via the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs's website, Jerusalem-On-Line, and Consolidated Networks Inc. 

When asked by a student at UC Irvine "Something that I admire about you is your strength when you speak. What gives you the strength to keep you going with your struggle?", Karnit replied: "...can you see Udi's smile behind me? all of my strength comes from Udi..."

Guest Speakers: Michael Oren.

In this interactive videoconference session with Melbourne, Oren paints a picture of the broad political environment leading up to the war. He describes in detail the events which formed the conditions for the war as well as shaped its course. He draws upon diverse sources such as declassified Israeli, US, Russian, and Egyptian documents. What are the implications for the recent Iranian nuclear threats?…. Watch video
