WHAT ARE SCHOOL2 SCHOOL PRESENTATIONS?

This is the part of the program in which each school will take the stage in turn to present a Tu B'shvat related mini-project to the other school/s in their group.

This year, the School2School presentations will focus on learning about the Israel's Northern Region.

Students should prepare creative decorations for the room in which they will be sitting.  The decorations should represent a city, area, or historical site from the northern parts of Israel.

( If your school is being hosted by another organisation, please check with them ahead of time that you can hang some display, as well as setting your Tu B'shvat Table with fruit, drinks etc....)

Each school will have six minutes in which to present.
There are two options for presentations, and schools may choose either option, or both, keeping in mind that there are only six minutes.  Any other ideas are welcome, please advise us.

1. An artistic display.

The students will create a display, art & craft, and present it at the conference, discussing a few points related to the artwork, the process of creating it, and how it connects them with Israel / the North / Tu B'shvat.  The display, in some way, must relate to both ecology (by using recycled materials etc) and Tu B'Shvat / North.

2. A song for the North.

The students will prepare a song, of their choice, in any language, and present however they choose – a choir, individuals, with musical accompaniment etc.  The song should fall under one of the titles "Tribute to the North," OR "Tu B'Shvat."  Please, avoid "HaShkadia Porachat".Thank you.

Examples:

  • Shirat Ha'asavim
  • Be Eretz Ahavati Hashked Poreach
  • Hoy Artzi Moladti
  • Etsleinu Be'Chatzer
  • Sheleg Al 'iri.
  • Al Kol Eleh - Al Hadvash Ve Al Haoketz

Contact us for a weblink on any of the above songs.
