World Bnei Akiva

World Bnei Akiva shlichim are recruited and placed by the world Bnei Akiva movement, in cooperation with the Jewish Agency. The young volunteer shlichim are responsible for: the development and implementation of a year-round program of activities; the provision of hadracha - youth leadership seminars and training - for local madrichim (counselors) and the supervision of their work. The shlichim also organize Bnei Akiva camps and engage in formal and informal educational activity in the local schools and ulpanim.
Shlichut Requirements: Graduate of a pre-army Mechina or Hesder Yeshiva / Midrasha and National Service and resident in Israel; a religious Zionist background; youth movement experience and counseling skills; fluency in the language of the country of assignment.
Period of Shlichut: One year, with an option for a one-year extension.
