מחקר ופיתוח, המחלקה לחינוך של הסוכנות היהודית
מאחורי המושג החדש יחסית של ’עמיות יהודית’, מסתתרים מושגים מסורתיים כ’עם ישראל’ ,’כלל ישראל‘ ואף ’עם-עולם‘. אחדים רואים בו ביטוי לציונות חדשה ,אחרים לתיאולוגיה חדשה; יש התולים בו ציפיות מדיניות, אחרים ציפיות סוציולוגיות. אך אצל כולם, השימוש ב’עמיות יהודית‘ משקף רצון להבליט את המכנה המשותף לפלגי העם היהודי ואת הרצון לשמור על חוסנו ואחדותו כנגד הכוחות המפוררים ומבוללים אותו.
