“Life in Israel has been great and I am now getting down to establishing a new career. It is a little stressful in the meantime yet I remain confident about my decision to be here and that all will work out.
For starters, the weather has been awesome! We are yet to have a day under 20 degrees (many warmer) and most days we have had clear blue skies. While Israel in many areas is not as green as Canada ... in others it is lush and palm trees abound. Jerusalem and the surrounding hills are magical and gorgeous. Driving into Jerusalem gives me goose bumps every time. Tel-Aviv is action packed and a lot of fun. Ancient places like Massada, the "Kotel" (wall), Caesaria, Tafat (Safed) are incredible places where history is everywhere and the mind can only imagine.
The night life in Tel Aviv is like nothing else I have experienced. Israelis really know how to party and they are beautiful people. All this set right against the sea ... amazing. People don't even go out until 11 pm, young and old alike. Clubs, coffee shops, restaurants are all still open and buzzing in the wee hours of the mourning. Gotta love it. We went to one place to party where the age range was considerably older and they are were dancing, singing and having a blast till all hours. The energy is a buzz in itself.”
