Mr. Lawrence Altschul was born, raised and educated in Cleveland, Ohio until 2005, than moved to Florida. He earned his BA and JD degrees from Case Western Reserve University.

After practicing law for a few years Mr. Altschul began a business career with the purchase of a distribution and import business in Cleveland and also became involved in a variety of other businesses, principally financial services, real estate and specialty manufacturing.

Throughout his adulthood in Cleveland, he was very involved with the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland in a number of capacities (Board, campaign, planning and allocations) and agencies (Mt. Sinai Hospital, Jewish Family Service, Montefiore Home for the Aged). Recently he became active with the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, culminating in the chairmanship, 2003 – 2005. Currently, Mr. Altschul is an officer of JFSPBC, a trustee of UJC, a member of B’nai Torah Congregation, Boca Raton and Park Synagogue, Cleveland.

He is an Assembly Member serving on Board Committees since June 2005.
