John Ruskay is the Executive Vice President and CEO of UJA-Federation of New York.

Before joining the Federation in 1993, he served as Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs           at the Jewish Theological Seminary, and, before that, as Education Director of the 92nd Street YM & YWHA in New York.

John Ruskay currently chairs both the Publications Committee of the Journal of Jewish Communal Service and the Professional Advisory Committee of the Hornstein School of Jewish Communal Service.  

He holds a BA from the University of Pittsburgh, and an MA and Ph.D. from Columbia University. 

Johan Ruskay has been an Associate member of the Jewish Agency’s Board of Governors since June 2002.
