Ms. Karen Pack (UJC/UIA)

Board Member

Karen Pack, a longtime leader in the Jewish community, served as president of the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City .

Pack, the daughter of Holocaust survivors, is passionate about her work in the Jewish community. A longtime Federation volunteer, Pack has been a member of the board of directors and has chaired numerous committees and events including the Circle of Giving, a Community Mission to Israel and the Partnership 2000 committee. Pack has also been active within the Women’s Division serving on its board and as a past chair of its Campaign efforts. A Young Leadership Award recipient, Pack has never settled for sitting back and watching things take place; Pack is a “doer” serving on almost every committee or panel of the Federation.

Active on the national Jewish scene, Karen is a board member of the National Women’s Constituency of United Jewish Communities and is a member of its executive committee. She has attended several UJC General Assemblies, the largest annual gathering of world Jewry.

Karen has worked with the Jewish Community Foundation serving as vice president and a trustee. She has been active on a number of committees with the Foundation including grants, women’s endowments and the Freidberg committees. Other Jewish organizations she has been involved with include the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, the Jewish Community Center, Israel Bonds, Hadassah, Jewish Family & Children’s Services and the Menorah Medical Center Auxiliary. She has been an active member of her synagogue, Kehilath Israel, having served on its board.

Karen Pack served as a Committee Member since June 2006. From June 2008 she serves as a Board Member.
