Alex Grass served as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency from 1999 through 2003.  He also serves on the Board of the UJC.  Alex Grass served as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem,  as well as a member of the Executive Committee of JDC and as National Chairman of the United Jewish Appeal.  

A past president of the Harrisburg United Jewish Community, he has served as General Chairman of the Harrisburg United Jewish Appeal and Israel Bond Campaigns.  

Alex Grass is founder and former Chairman, President and CEO of the Rite Aid Corporation, a major retail drugstore chain.  A graduate of the University of Florida School of Law, he is a member of the Bar in both Pennsylvania and Florida.
