Upgrading Northern Israel’s Schools

Unmet Financial Need: $25,000,000

At the Jewish Agency, the next generation is a primary focus of a majority of our work.  For the Jewish people it is the assurance of our continuity. Schools are the heart and soul of a community.  They are the one aspect most central to a child’s life - whether through formal or informal educational programs or through the work that they do after class – school is the most influential aspect of a child’s life.  We must ensure that the school experience is a positive one.

The Need

During the latest hostilities many schools were hit. As a result they require immediate repair.  Other Northern schools, though not directly bombarded, are in dire need of upgrading on both a structural and material level.

The Jewish Agency Response

At this crucial time, we must provide Israel’s northern pupils with the most efficient and well-equipped surrounding possible to enable them to rebuild their lives and prosper.  Please join us in renovating and rebuilding these educational centers to ensure the future growth of Israel's next generation, transforming their present environment from negative to positive.

Funding Request

Detailed requirements for specific schools are being prepared by the Ministry of Education. The estimated unmet financial need is $25,000,000.
