Tech & The City

Tech & The City is a five-month Hebrew- language Absorption program geared specifically for educated, motivated high- tech students and professionals. Meet and network with peers from around the world who share your interests, enjoy the services of a dedicated staff and mentors to guide you, and take advantage of the thriving economy and pleasant residential atmosphere of the city of Haifa.

Haifa High-Tech Experience: Course in English to help you build a professional future in Israel. 12 sessions include: lectures on the Israeli high-tech and start-up scenes from industry experts; individual consulting and workshops with Israeli HR professionals; visits to leading companies; and mentorship from professionals in Haifa.
 
Ulpan: Intensive Hebrew language instruction 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 5 months. Classes are held at Ulpan Etzion Carmel-Haifa, at seven different levels.
 
Housing: Participants are housed in pairs (two singles or a married couple without children) in furnished studio apartments in the Haifa Port Campus. The program fees include both rent and utilities. Students can also find their own housing if they prefer.
 
Adoptive Family: Local families help participants acclimate to life in Haifa.
 
Activities: Trips around Israel and to attractions within Haifa, weekly Shabbat activities, regular “Hebrew café,” and other programs for creating a sense of community and enriching your experience.
 
Helpful Staff: Your program coordinator and a counselor will be happy to assist you from the moment you register until the completion of the program.
 
Eligibility
Young-adult Jews aged 22-35 who have completed an academic degree (undergraduate or graduate) in a field related to the high-tech industry, and who are interested in connecting with high-tech companies located in the Science and Industrial Park of Haifa.
 
Cost
The subsidized fee for Tech & The City is NIS 1,000 per month (for 5 months).
The full 5,000 NIS for the program is to be paid in two payments.
