Thousands visit The Jewish Agency’s Aliyah Fair in Paris

Thousands of French Jews visited The Jewish Agency for Israel’s Aliyah Fair in Paris, which was held on Sunday, May 26.

Visitors to the Fair receive up to date information about the different possibilities for living in Israel.

The French Jewish community is the third largest in the world and numbers around 500,000 Jews. Last year around 2,000 French Jews made Aliyah (immigrated) to Israel. In the first half of 2013, there has been a significant increase in the number of olim (immigrants) from France and in the number of French Jews participating in long term educational and volunteer programs through Masa Israel Journey (Masa is a joint project of the Government of Israel and the Jewish Agency).

The Aliyah Fair is organized by The Jewish Agency in cooperation with the real estate company ICUBE. During the Fair, the visitors received up-to-date information from the representatives of Israelis organizations and companies about employment in Israel, real estate, school-age and higher education as well as the absorption services offered by Israeli local authorities.
