A delegation of eight-graders from the Jewish school in Milwaukee came on their annual visit to our area. On their first evening, we held a get-together with eighth-graders from Kadouri School, which included icebreaking games and other activities.
Itamar Shachar (Degania B) and Bar Lari (Tiberias), who will be our next shinshinim in Milwaukee (starting September 2014), participated in the event, and demonstrated their considerable leadership skills by organizing acquaintance games between the American and Israeli groups.
The next day, we met at Kadouri, where we enjoyed group activities, followed by a tour of the school and a program in the classrooms.
Despite the short program, we once again realized that home hospitality is an added value that only our partnership area can offer. It was a pleasure to see how easily the kids made friends, in spite of the short time they had together.
