Israel In Your Community

Representing the Partnership with Pride

Two graduates of Central Galilee Partnership2Gether teen programs from Jezreel Valley will represent us in Toronto as part of the Jewish Agency’s Year of Service program.

This year, Tal Yitzhaki of Timrat and Omer Yitzhak of Kibbutz Mizra will embark on a Year of Service in Toronto after concluding the Partnership’s Teen Leadership track.

The two began their involvement with the Partnership as campers at Camp Tamarack in 2010, and spent about a month in Detroit. Over the past four years they have been active and leading participants in the Partnership’s Teen Leadership program, which gave them tools of leadership and social involvement. Additionally, they led community projects and served as counselors for young teens.

In summer 2012, Tal joined an incoming Teen Mission from Detroit during which she traveled across Israel with the Americans for about one month. She, along with 11 of her Teen Leadership friends, were representatives of the Partnership region and bonded with the Detroit teens and struck up some amazing friendships. During that same summer, Omer embarked for a second Tamarack experience, this time within the framework of a junior counselor’s program. She spent a two whole months at the summer camp and was ultimately selected as the camp’s outstanding junior counselor.

The Partnership family wishes the two the greatest success and hopes they have an enjoyable and significant shlichut experience. We look forward to their eventual return, back into the Partnership family.
