Dr. David Korenfeld is the President of the Education Department “Maccabi World Union,” Ramat Gan. Professionally, he is Director of the Psycho-Pedagogic Department in the High School “Tichon Hadash: Yitzchak Rabin” in Tel Aviv. In the past he served as Therapist in the Adolescents Department in the Mental Health Center: Ramat Chen; Psychologist in the Shneorson Institute for Mental Health and as the Regional Psychologist in charge of Differential Education for in the Tel Aviv Municipality and as a Member of the Interdisciplinary Department of Adult Education in the Tel Aviv University.

His community work includes membership in the Board of Jewish Sport Museum: Pierre Gildesgame, Membership of the Non-formal Education Department in the Tel Aviv Municipality, Consultant in the Shimon Peres Peace Institute, Honorary President of Latin American Friends Association for the Rambam Hospital, Member of the General Assembly of Yad Vashem Foundation—Memorial Center for the Holocaust. Member of the Presidium of the World Zionist Organization, Member of the Organizing Committee of the World Maccabi Games and Representative of Maccabi World Union in the National Institute of Community Centers. Dr. Korenfeld is also a member of the Evaluation and Diagnostics Association, the Israeli Clinical Educational Psychologist Association, the Israeli Family Therapists and the Israel Psychologists Association.

He has a PhD in Psychology from York University, Post-Graduate in Educational Psychology from the Ministry of Public Health, and an MA in Social Psychology from Tel Aviv University. He received the Honorary Prize for Excellency in Education awarded by the National Teachers Association and the Dima and Shalom Levin Foundation.

He lives in Tel Aviv. He is a member of the Board since October 2014.
