Julie Wise Oreck Member of the Board of Governors
Julie Wise Oreck is a member of the Board of Trustees of Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) and on the Advisory Board of the National Women's Philanthropy of JFNA. Prior to that, she served eight years on the National Young Leadership Cabinet of the United Jewish Communities (UJC), where she held the portfolios of Women's Campaign Chair, Co-Chair of the Southeastern Region, Co-Chair of the Southeast Regional Outreach Conference and the National Mentor Chair. She later joined the Israel and Overseas Pillar of UJC. During her tenure with UJC, she served as the International Chair of OTZMA. Born and raised in New Orleans, she is on the local boards of the Jewish Community Center and a Vice President of Jewish Family Service. She is past President of the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans.
Julie has been on the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency since 2004 and a Committee Member since 2001. She was Co-chair on the Comptrollers Committee and presently is the Deputy chair of the Assembly Planning Committee. In addition, she has also served on the Board of Directors of United Israel Appeal since 2009 and is presently one of the Vice Presidents of that organization.
