Ruhama Avraham Balila Member of the Board of Governors
Ruhama Avraham Balila is a former Minister and Member of the Knesset. Her roles in the 31st and 30th Governments included: Minister in charge of Israel's 60th anniversary events; Minister of Tourism; Minister without Portfolio and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.
She served as a member of the Knesset on the 16th, 17th and 18th Knesset, between 2004 and 2013. She also served as Deputy Speaker of the Knesset.
Membership of Knesset Committees included: Chair, Subcommittee for Examining the Effects of the Financial Crisis on Small Businesses; Member, Joint Committee for the Credit Provision Services Law (2002); Member, Finance Committee; Member, Economic Affairs Committee; Member, Committee on the Status of Women and Gender Equality; Member, Committee on Foreign Workers; Chair, House Committee; Member, Public Petitions Committee; Alternate Member, Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee; Member, Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee; Opposition Leader, Finance Committee; Alternate Member, Constitution, Law and Justice Committee.
Ruhama Avraham has B.A. in Political Science from the Bar Ilan University. She is a Board member since July 2014.
