Tova Ben Dov Associate Member of the Board of Governors
Tova Ben-Dov joined the WIZO branch in Herzliya Pituach 50 years ago. Served in key roles in WIZO Israel including Chairperson of Women’s Training Dept, where she developed the WIZO Courses' Programme implemented in WIZO Branches nationwide and within minority communities; worked with families in poor neighborhoods; opened consultation stations; and WIZO Centers for the Empowerment of Women. Then continued as, Chairperson World WIZO Dept. for Property, Building and Development (1978-83); Treasurer of World WIZO (2000 – 2004);; Chairperson of World WIZO Executive.(2004 – 2012), President of World WIZO (2012 - ).
During the Yom Kippur War, Tova volunteered and was a member of a team from the Ministry of Defence with the difficult task of notifying families on the death of their loved ones.
In 2011 she was awarded "Honoree of Tel Aviv" for her concern, loyalty and devotion to the welfare and honor of the City of Tel Aviv. In 2012 she was appointed to the Keren HaYesod (UIA) Board of Trustees and to the WJC Executive Committee, as Vice-President of the WJC Executive. In 2014 she elected as Board Member of the Israeli Youth Award.
She has been an Associate Member of The Jewish Agency's Board of Governors since 2004.
