The entrepreneurs have been friends for many years. Lea Ocheri is a specialist in public relations and marketing, and is a well-known hostess and promoter in the Western Galilee region. Lili is experienced in the restaurant business, having managed two restaurants in Tel Aviv.
Her son and daughter, inspired by her love of the food industry, followed her footsteps and also manage bars and restaurants in Tel Aviv.
ABOUT THE BUSINESS:
On December 20, 2012 Lea and Lili opened an authentic Georgian restaurant at Kibbutz Shomrat. This is a unique venture that offers contemporary Georgian cuisine with a Georgian ambiance. In addition to restaurant services, they provide entertainment in the evenings including a full bar and good music. The restaurant also caters private functions for up to 50 people.
During the year that the restaurant has been in business, they have hired a professional staff of 11 employees.
The restaurant is open Tuesdays to Saturdays, from 2 p.m. until the last customer leaves. The warm atmosphere and tasty food draw a large number of regular diners, and garner positive write-ups from reviewers.
The restaurant is so busy, particularly on weekends, that Lili and Lea have added seating for around 20 more people outside.
