Humanitarian Pessach in South Africa

April 6, 2009 / 12 Nissan 5769

Hundreds of World Bnei Akiva and Jewish Agency emissaries around the globe have organized hundreds of activities and Passover 'Sdarim' across the globe.

In the pics: Bnei Akiva participants in Johannesburg South Africa collected thousands of 'Chametz' items, and instead of burning them in the traditional pre-Passover fire, they created care packages for local Zimbabwe refugees. Bnei Akiva Shaliach (emissary) to South Africa says that this is the third humanitarian project that Bnei Akiva has initiated in order to comfort the local refugee community.
