The Betar Mazkirut (leadership) hosted an event at Beyachad during which time they interacted with the Betar Israel team via video conferencing. A great time was had by all as they played a version of the children’s game “pass the parcel” – but instead of receiving a small prize when each layer was opened, they uncovered a Betar or Tu B’Shvat related to question which was asked to and answered by the other team.
Once the games were over, the Betar SA team recited the Tu B’Shvat brachot, and enjoyed eating the dried fruits significant of the festival.
The purpose of the video conference was for the committee members to meet, keep in touch and “team build” across the continent, and it proved highly successful.
The SA committee are looking forward to meeting their Betar colleagues in person when they visit Israel in later this year.
