I want to extend my greatest thanks and appreciation to Dr. Arie Eisenman and Dr. Ohad Ronen of Galilee Medical Center for their wonderful presentation yesterday at Andrews University (see the tv news report below). The doctors shared the extraordinary measures they are taking to save the lives of wounded Syrians brought to their hospital by the IDF.

The event was attended by 250 students and the faculty and leadership of the Andrews University. I also want to thank Mitzi and David Sabato for hosting the doctors and the wonderful event for our local medical community on Wednesday night. Last but not least, thank you to the staff of Partnership and Galilee Medical Center for arranging their visit.

With all of the bad news coming out of the Middle East, this moving humanitarian story shows a side of Israel not often seen in the American media. These doctors are doing "Avodat Kodesh" (sacred work).  We can all be very proud of the work being done at Galilee Medical Center and our connection through Partnership. We look forward to hosting doctors from GMC next year in our community.

Shabat shalom,
