Diana Bletter's novel, A Remarkable Kindness (HarperCollins, August 2015) tells the story of four friends in 2006 seaside village in northern Israel, a village very similar to Shavey Tzion, where Diana resides. The women, who come from different backgrounds, forge a friendship that sustains them as they come to terms with love and loss, and the outbreak of war. Their intimate bond is strengthened by their participation in a traditional ritual that closes the circle of life. As their lives slowly transformed, each finds unexpected strength and resilience.

During her tour, Diana visited five of our communities: Omaha, Des Moines, San Antonio, South Bend and North West Indiana October 28th to November 14th. She met crowds of different ages and backgrounds, lead creative writing classes, shared inspiring words and signed copies of her novel.

Diana's tour was an inspiration to her audiences who are still talking about her visit.
