On December 7th The Young Adults Forum delegation left Israel in order to visit three of our communities.

The purpose of this visit was to educate our next generation about Partnership and the Jewish world, and to create new connections and friendships. The delegation included three young women from Budapest and seven participants from the Western Galilee. The first half of the week the group divided into two groups and visited Fort Worth and San Antonio. On December 10th the two groups joined to visit Austin. They enjoyed lighting Hanukkah candles together and the warm Texan hospitality.

Prior to this trip, the Western Galilee Young Leaders have worked on several projects:
They reached out and connected with 150 lone soldiers, sent them gifts, Mishloach Manot, and helped organize parties. They upgraded the yards of two kindergartens together with a birthright group, and created an active yard in order to emphasize a healthy way of living.

Currently the Young Leaders are collecting testimonies from holocaust survivors from the Western Galilee, the consortium and Budapest to create an online booklet. And last, but not least, they are looking for a location for a second hand educational treasures warehouse that will be utilized by teachers in the area.
