The New England March of the Living mission stayed in our region for Memorial Day.

For most likely the first time in their lives, 60 youth and 21 chaperones came in contact with the very unique atmosphere that pervades Israel on this intense and awesome day.

The mission visited military cemeteries in Afula and in Beit Hashita (a kibbutz in Gilboa that suffered considerable casualties during the Yom Kippur war), and laid wreathes on soldiers' graves.

During their stay, the group had several meetings with regional youth, as well as with next year's young emissaries.
