One way to show off Afula and what it has to offer is to send as ambassadors local teen musicians.
A delegation of 84 teens and 10 adult chaperones comprised of the representative orchestra and the Afula youth singers represented Afula in the US in celebrations of Israel's 60th Anniversary.

Their tour began on the West Coast and ended with a week of performances in several SNEC communities - Westport, New Haven, Western CT and Worcester.  The delegation performed in schools, synagogues and JCCs.

Betzalel Kupervasser, director of the Afula conservatory, summarized the trip:  "The musical delegation that represented the city of Afula made new connections and contributed to strengthening existing bonds between Afula and the communities in the US".
