A very exciting performance marked the end of year activities for 250 musicians and singers as they presented a wonderful repertoire of original and very lively compositions, each one in accordance with his or her years of study.
The "Playing School" enterprise involves group musical instrument instruction and study in the 5th and 6th grades. This is part of the citywide model for music education running in Afula, which includes 6 elementary schools, 6 music classes in the junior-high and a music major in the high schools.
Bezalel Kuperwasser, the "living inspiration" for music in Afula, described the playing as "enrichment activity that teaches a new language, and which creates camaraderie through listening to one another and common goals."
