"Friends, it's the real thing now. Advice, guidance, computer repairs - on us!
The Net@ project, under the auspices of Beit Shean - Cleveland Partnership 2000, has finally opened its Call Center laboratory for the benefit of the public at large, and…at no charge!
The Call Center is operated by professionally trained youths aged 15-18 who have earned Cisco Systems certificates as computer technicians and are certified information network managers and, as such, legitimate technicians.
I suppose, dear readers, you're all asking, "Where's the "catch?" No catch whatsoever! These youths have simply decided to get a head start and provide a better and more secure future for themselves.
Therefore, as part of the project's goals of giving to the community, they've opened up the computer lab for your service. Before you start wondering about the quality or professionalism of repairs and service, I can tell you that your computer isn't being taken away for any trial and error experiments.
These young technicians are well- experienced. They've already fixed technical problems in all of the computers distributed in Beit Shean under the nationwide "Computer for Each Child" program, at after-school clubs, and even in city hall. What's more, two weeks ago the Call Center was visited by the President, who was impressed by the laboratory, the instrumentation, and, of course, the talented technicians and their performance. Therefore, if the President saw fit to extol the virtues of the project and its success, remove all doubts from your mind-you're in good hands.
Would you also like to be young technicians?
Following the terrific success of the Net@ project, the organizers have decided to open up a bigger course; therefore, in the next two months, the project's instructors will be making the rounds of all grade eight classes in junior high schools in Beit Shean and the Regional Council in order to present the program to students. Anyone interested will be required to undergo a personal interview, a group workshop, and an English test.
Yes, the process of getting accepted isn't simple, but the goal and the final result is worth it all.
The Call Center is open on Sundays and Thursdays between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. For further details, repairs, or technical support, call 04-6581874.
