Tunisia: Tamar's Shabbat Dinner - Salads - Artichoke Salad

Ingredients

  • One package of frozen artichoke bottoms cut into cubes or sections
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika 
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/3 tsp black pepper
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • Lemon


Preparation

In this dish we prepare the sauce cold. Mix together paprika, salt, black pepper and garlic. Into this mixture add the artichokes and lemon cut up into wedges.  Add the water to the height of the artichokes and cook on a medium flame until the liquids run out.
