Mr. Sol Glasner

Sol Glasner is a lawyer who practices as "house counsel" to a fairly large research and engineering firm in the Washington, D.C. area.  Born in Tel Aviv, Sol moved to the U.S. (with his parents, of course) when he was three years old.  He grew up in New York City where he attended a Jewish day school through middle school.

After graduating Queens College with a BA, Sol obtained a graduate degree in International Studies at Columbia.  He later attended Georgetown Law School which is what brought him (and his wife) to Washington.

Professionally, Sol has practiced "in-house" for three other companies before his present one.  He is active is several professional organizations and in 2008 received a Corporate Counsel Achievement Award from the Washington area chapter of the national Corporate Counsel Association.  Sol enjoys mediation work and has served as a volunteer mediator in the Washington, D.C. courts.  He is also active in community organizations and was the president of a local provider of shelters and other services for the homeless in 2006-07.  Sol is a member of the American Technion Society board.

Sol lives with his wife, Nina (also a sabra), in the Maryland suburbs.  They have three adult children, two of whom are married.  Sol enjoys bicycling, outdoor activities and travel.  He is delighted to be working with the Israel Partnership.
