The entire community joined in the festivities of "Israel Fest and Culture Shuk Present JerusaleMania," a day of food, fun and entertainment for the whole family, Sunday, May 20, at the D. Dan and Betty Kahn Jewish Community Center Building, on the grounds of the Eugene and Marcia Applebaum Jewish Community Campus in West Bloomfield.
The day of activities kicked off at 12:30 p.m. with a solidarity march for Israel. From 1:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., the festival offered artist booths, food, Israeli singing and dancing and other entertainment.
Sharon Lipton and Dr. Irvin Kappy are co-chairs for the event.
Sponsors are the Jewish Community Center, Michigan/Israel Connection, Jewish Experiences for Families (JEFF) and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit.
