Last Sunday, August 24, a new step in the Partnership 2000 program began. Young Partners Group Two (G2) met in Bexley, hosted by Tobi & Ken Gold, for their first ever online interaction with their Israeli counterparts in Kfar Saba.
"It was really exciting to see them," Columbus Young Partner Esther Benatar said. "Seeing them and hearing their voices was an experience that other online sources such as Facebook can't duplicate."
P2K committee chairman Dan Rosen hopes that this new Face 2 Face Program will keep Young Partners Groups more connected. It will also be a way for both cities to link to other populations, like the growing Russian Jewish communities.
"Mostly," Benatar said "I'm just glad our friendships can continue in a visual as well as a verbal way."
Next month Young Partners G3 will have their first online meeting with their Israeli partners
