Angliyada Students Thank Volunteer Counselors

The Angliyada program has been very successful since it's beginning in 1995. Volunteers from the partnered communities come to the region to teach English to the residents. The volunteers tour the region, meet with the local residents, and develop warm and special ties with the students and the new immigrants from the entire region. It is a wonderful experience both for the teachers and the students. Following are thank you letters from students who took part in the June session.

Looking Forward to Visiting in Tulsa

Dear Vivian, I want to thank you on behalf of the students for the pleasant month we spent in the Engliyeda program together.

I for example, could not speak one sentence in English when the class started. This month I have learned to speak English. I think that all of the students feel like I do. We all had different expectations in the beginning, but you succeeded to teach us a lot of English and now we speak fluently.

I hope that we will be in touch and that you will teach us again.

We all promise to visit you in Tulsa.

With love,
Your Students

I had the privilege of participating in the June Session of the Angliyada program. Vivian White taught our class for four weeks, and I found the experience interesting and informative.

Our goal of learning spoken English was achieved, but the experience gave all of us much more. Vivian's dedication and caring made us all feel part of a very special family. This feeling was shared by all of the students in all of the classes of the program. We all hope to continue in the December session.

To all of you - to Smadar, Ilana, Rachel and Karol - thank you for the organization, the guidance and the caring that makes such a difference in the program.

I hope to see you all in December, and to continue learning English in such a special atmosphere.
