Holocaust Ceremony

For Holocaust Remembrance Day a group of local teens from the ORT Maalot School wrote, rehearsed, and preformed a ceremony for their peers and the community.  The group was inspired after a trip to Poland where they saw, touched, and walked the steps of those who lived and died during the Holocaust.  From their experience they gained better insight into the atrocities of Hitler's Regime.

The Headmistress, Nili Eldar, opened the ceremony remarking on how the rest of the world does not remember the Holocaust as Israel does.  Noting that it is had to see the world community turn a blind eye to a brutal history were so many died and now so few choose to remember.   The students sang songs, spoke, and preformed skits all to a backdrop of images from Shoah.
