Esther joined WIZO in 1981 and was an executive member of WIZO Savyon. In 2000 Esther joined the World WIZO Fundraising Division. In May 2003, Esther founded Friends of WIZO in Israel and chaired it until 2013. In 2010 they partnered with WIZO Israel to host the National Bar/Bat Mitzvah of 600 children and their parents at the Kotel. In her positions as Deputy Chairperson Fundraising (2002-2008) and as Chairperson (2008-2016) Esther Initiated new WIZO annual fundraising campaigns as well as ongoing campaigns: Using her talent as a jewelry designer, Esther designed most of the World WIZO donor and volunteer pins.

Elected as President of World WIZO in 2016; Esther also became a member of the WZO Executive, The Jewish Agency Board of Governors, the Zionist Council and holds the position of VP of the WJC Executive.

Since 1983 Esther has been a member of the I.W.C.-International Women’s Club (Israeli + diplomatic spouses) and held the positions of Treasurer & President, and still serves on their Executive Board as a volunteer.

Born in Peshawar, Pakistan, and of Russian parentage, Esther resided in India, Europe, the Far East and the US, and since 1980 she has lived in Israel. Esther has a B.A. degree in Art and Literature, she taught bible studies for 5 years in Habonim Youth Movement in Bombay, and she speaks 8 languages. Esther is married with three children and 8 grandchildren.

Esther served as an Associate Member of the Board since 2016. Since 2020 she serves as a Board member.
