Isaac Daniel Picciotto Kassin is a Colombian businessman and President of Keren Hayesod Colombia.
He studied Chemical Engineering in the United States. His beginnings were in Pedro Domecq in Jerez de la Frontera as a laboratory worker, he learned, became passionate and became an oenologist (expert in the production of wine, both in the elaboration, storage, analysis, conservation, bottling and marketing). He served as technical director at Pedro Domecq Colombia and winemaker advisor at Casa Santar in Portugal. By 2006, back in Colombia, with extensive experience, dedication and perseverance, he was climbing within the organization founded by his father Rafael Picciotto Esses, of which he became executive vice president.
Currently, he serves as President of this prestigious company PDC Vinos y Licores – Casa Pedro Domecq Colombia and in Chile he is the Director of Viña Undurraga, producer of wines and sparkling wines, being one of the oldest and most important wineries in the country, founded in 1885.
He is The President of the Board of Directors of the Sephardic Jewish Community in Colombia and of which he is an active member, promoting and developing social initiatives, with the purpose of contributing to the improvement of the quality of life and social integration of people and their families. Likewise, it sponsors and promotes charitable works at national and international level, aimed at creating, maintaining, and improving the integral development of the Jewish community.
He is a professional member of the AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERS and the AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR ENOLOGY AND VITICULTURE of the United States.
He was a member and vice president of the Spanish-Colombian Chamber of Commerce, founding member of the Colombo-Chilean Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Associated Industries of Alcoholic Beverages – CABA of which he is currently President, this association is integrated by important producing and importing companies of alcoholic beverages together with suppliers of national renown, whose main objective is to promote the development and social responsibility of companies, entities and people linked to the production and marketing chain of alcoholic beverages in Colombia and abroad.
His research “Fuel from renewable sources” was published in the Industrial Engineering Magazine in 1979. His columns and writings have been part of important Colombian media such as Diario Cali – 24 Horas, Revista SOHO and Diario El Espectador.
His family is an essential part of his life, married to Silvana Roiter, his brother Mauricio Picciotto based in Chile is the President of Viña Undurraga, his children: Monique, Fashion Designer; Raphael, Executive Vice President and Nathan, Director On Trade of Pedro Domecq Colombia, are those who make up part of his work team and trusted staff, making the company position itself as an organization that contributes to the development of the country, through the generation of employment, productivity and the promotion of responsible and sustainable consumption.
