Campers2Gether

Fostering connections among teens impacted by October 7 and their peers at Jewish camps globally

Campers2Gether supports Israeli youth and teens impacted by the horrors of October 7 by giving them the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with their peers abroad and boost their resilience through the summer camp experience. Launched by The Jewish Agency in 2024, the program provides young Israelis living in the shadow of the conflict a healing respite like no other as they form powerful connections at Jewish overnight camps around the world.

In partnership with

Campers2Gether welcomed the first 1,000+ participants from the North and South of Israel to 49 camps in the US and around the world in the summer of 2024, followed by winter camps later in the year.

In April 2025, thanks to a generous three-year, $2.5 million annual matching commitment from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Supporting Foundation, The Jewish Agency announced the Campers2Gether program will continue, with over 700 Israeli teens attending Jewish overnight camps across North America in the summer of 2025. Campers2Gether is also made possible through partnerships with local Jewish federations and summer camps throughout North America.

In 2025, Campers2Gether:

  • Sent 770+ Israeli teens to camps for a summer of healing and connection
  • Organized a total of 37 groups from 107 Israeli communities
  • Brought 88 counselors and 32 mental health professionals to provide support and facilitate fun
  • Partnered with 34 Jewish camps in 16 states or provinces across North America and 1 camp in Italy

“After October 7, I went into a very deep depression. But here at camp, I feel like I’m blooming. Everything I was before October 7, all the pieces of myself, I’m starting to find them. It’s as if I’m back to who I was before the war. This is what’s amazing about this experience.” -Omer, 15, a resident of Kibbutz Urim who participated in Campers2Gether in 2024, attending a camp in New York.
